Shadbala (sixfold strength) is a comprehensive quantitative system in classical Jyotish to calculate the exact power of each planet.

Calculate planetary strengths using the [Planetary Power Tool](https://jyotish.naamsetu.in/jyotish).

## The Six Fold Strengths 1. **Sthana Bala:** Positional strength (exaltation, own sign, vargas). 2. **Dig Bala:** Directional strength (Jupiter/Mercury in 1st, Sun/Mars in 10th, Saturn in 7th, Moon/Venus in 4th). 3. **Kala Bala:** Temporal strength (day/night, lunar phase, planetary hour). 4. **Cheshta Bala:** Motional strength (speed, retrograde status). 5. **Naisargika Bala:** Natural inherent brightness. 6. **Drik Bala:** Aspectual strength (benefic vs malefic aspects).
